Call for Artists

PVC (PolyVinylCranium) is an ONLINE Custom Toy Contest hosted by Delicious Drips and sponsored by SkullyBoom.  Artists will customize a DIY Skully toy and compete for votes on the Delicious Drips submission site.  The winners will take home cash prizes, gift certificates, toys and a 12 oz. Ziplock bag full of ego.

Our goal is to draw at least one hundred artists internationally with at least thirty shops participating.  With this many shops and artists involved, we can guarantee tons of exposure for your work, not to mention a shot at making some honest money.

Prizes

1st Place= $150 cash, $100 certificate to Delicious Drips, Origami x Toy2r Skate Deck

2nd Place= $100 cash, $50 certificate to Delicious Drips, 8″ Toy2r Bear Qee

3rd Place= $25 cash, $25 certificate to Delicious Drips, Headphonie of your choice

4th-10th Place= $20 certificates to Delicious Drips

Awards will be given to the top ten entries.  Winning is determined by the number of points you accumulate in votes.  Votes are given based on how “tasty” your toy is (Eye Poison= 0 pts, Edible =1pt, Satisfying=2pts, Yummy=3pts, and Delicious=4pts).  Each point you accumulate can also be redeemed for discounts in the Delicious Drips store.

Voting will take place for seven days from March 15th to the 22nd.  Winners are announced on March 25th.

Follow these steps to enter:

1.      Purchase a DIY Skully direct from SkullyBoom or one of the participating retailers

2.      Customize your Skully any way you’d like.  Cut it, paste it, load it, sculpt it, paint it, brush it, save it, tune it, spray it.  Get technologic.

3.      Take several extremely sexy pictures of your finished work

4.      Resize the pictures so that they are no 600 pixels wide and no taller than 800 pixels.  If you know how, Photoshop the hell out of it and make it look impossibly good.

5.      Register for an account on the Delicious Drips Submission site if you don’t already have one

6.      Submit your toy design on the site

7.      Prepare for the release of the toys into the onine gallery at noon on March 15th, thenVOTE and PROMOTE!

“Circle of Life” by ArtNowSF and 1:AM, a holiday party you don’t want to miss!

ArtNowSF is wrapping up the year with a huge show at 1:AM gallery titled “The Circle of Life”.  Art is a continuous journey and a never-ending cycle of discovery and growth.  Over 35 established and emerging artists will visually create their interpretation of the meaning of life.  All the artists in this exhibition created original works on different sized wood circles.

The lineup includes:

The opening reception is on December 18th, 2009 from 7:00-10:00pm and is a 21+ event. The show will run through January 30th, 2010.

Doing their part to complete the circle of life and to give back to the community, 1:AM and ArtNowSF are hosting a toy drive for the holiday season.  1:AM gallery will be a toy donation station from December 8th through December 24th, 2009 for Friends of the Children (www.fotcsf.org), Opportunity Impact (www.opportunityimpact.org), and My Own Two Hands (www.myowntwohands.com). Please bring only new, or like-new toys to donate.  Every toy donor will receive one ticket redeemable for an artist painted ornament while supplies last.  When you donate toys to needy children, you are not only giving a toy but also the gift of inspiration and hope.

Who Needs a Cheap Date?

Join some of the musical forces behind SkullyBoom at this kick ass formal event at Vessel.  With two for one drinks, this is the ticket for a cheap date.  Even if your date sucks, at least YOU can get plastered, right!?

The Janky Barge Crew and the Slayers Club are joining forces to host a night of formal holiday rowdiness! Come on out to our Winter Formal complete with professional photo booth, kings and queens, and other fabulous holiday surprises! We’re taking over Vessel and transforming it into a winter wonderland to kick off the holiday season right…

“Formal wear” (you can be creative) is STRONGLY encouraged!

We’ll be throwing down some electro funk, glitch-hop, dubstep, breaks, dancehall, fidget house, drum n bass & more. Our Janky Barge and Slayers Club representatives on the decks are:

Amplified, Yet Refined Taste

Little did you know that SkullyBoom started off making wine from the grapes of Hieldsberg.  We applied our artistry into crafting a refined taste aged in oak barrels to perfection.  Over the course of four years of controlled humidity and temperature, we cure a flavor that oozes with hints of tart with a delicate finish.  Then, with the drop of a hat, we “drank that $&%# like water and got F@&%ed UP!”

If any wants to try our family Syrah, Zin, or a Cab, give us a holler and we’ll make that happen like BOOM!

Headphonies Portable Speakers

You know that Christmas song “Silent Night”.  Well so do we, and we’ve set out to change the paradigm with the new Headphonie 3.0. Headphonies has released several new designs in a stunning new windowed package.  The success of the Headphonies has seen three production runs now with great improvements on each run.  Like a fine wine, these get better with age…except they now have BETTER PRICING!!!  We’re amped.
